U.S. or Canadian automobile liability insurance is not valid in Mexico nor is most collision and comprehensive coverage issued by U.S. companies. If you do not have Mexican Insurance and are involved in an accident, you'll be taken into custody until it can be determined who is liable and whether you have the ability to pay any penalty. If you do not have Mexican Insurance, you may be prevented from departing the country; even if you require life-saving medical care. Drivers may also face criminal charges if injuries or damages are serious.
We offer coverage through two Mexico Underwriters Genworth Seguros and ACE Seguros. Both of these companies are rated A or better by AM Best. All of our Mexican Insurance policies include:
Legal and Bail Assistance - Through this service, the Mexican Insurance Company will provide professional assistance of lawyer to defend and represent him/her in the presence of the relevant authorities as a consequence of a road accident while traveling in in Mexico. Furthermore, The Mexican Insurance Company will cover the amount of the bail bond or guarantee, up to the limit of liability.
Towing Assistance - In the case of a breakdown, or cannot be repaired at the place of the breakdown, and upon request of the Client, the Mexican Insurnace Company will pay for a towing service up to a maximum amount of $300.00 USD per trip.
Roadside Assistance - If the insured vehicle runs out of gas, the Company will provide enough gasoline to reach the nearest gas station. They will pay for the gasoline up to a limit amount of 10 liters. If the vehicle battery dies, the Company will get the battery recharged, so you can continue to the nearest garage for its repair. If the authorized vehicle tire goes flat, the Company will replace the tire, or take it to the nearest place for its repair. If the tire cannot be repaired, the cost of a new one will be paid by the Client. In the case you loses the car keys, or leaves the keys inside the vehicle, the Mexican Insurance Company will be send a locksmith to the place where the vehicle is located.
Tourist Assistance - Through the Mexican Insurance Call Center, The Company will provide you with the following information: location and charge of tollbooths on the main highways of Mexico, gas stations, highways in the Mexican Republic and the best or shortest routes between two cities. Telephone numbers and addresses of vehicle pounds and Police Stations within the Mexican Republic.
